Requirements to obtain a visa on arrival:
1) A passport that is still valid for at least 6 months
2) Return or onward ticket (indicating the date of departure from Indonesia) – For the VOA, it is sufficient if the departure date is within the 60 days, since the first 30 days can be extended by another 30 days.
3) Install the PeduliLindendi app and create a profile – It is no longer necessary to upload the vaccination certificates. If you have problems filling out the profile, they will help you at the airport.
4) Proof of a full vaccination against Covid 19 (2 vaccinations or 1 x Johnson&Johnson) – if possible in paper form, then you are on the safe side. Vaccination pass or individual certificates (please make sure that an English translation is also available) are sufficient. The full vaccination must be completed at least 14 days before departure. There are only exceptions for people who are not vaccinated for health reasons and who can prove this with a valid medical certificate.
5) International travelers 0 – 17 are NOT required to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
6) Recovery from COVID-19 as of July 11, 2022. If you have tested positive for COVID-19 and declared inactive to transmit COVID-19 no more than 30 days before departure and have a medical certificate, you still need at least 1 vaccination present in order to be allowed to enter Indonesia.
7) Fill out the customs declaration online 3 days before departure – This saves you the stress on the plane or on arrival: https://bcngurahrai.beacukai.go.id/ecd/?h=beranda
8) The VOA (Visa on Arrival) costs IDR 500,000 per person – (applies to adults and children/babies) payment can be made by: VISA Card, Master Card, Debit Card or cash in IDR or foreign currency USD, EURO, GBP, SGD and others, at the airport counter in the terminal. The extension costs another IDR 500,000 if you do it yourself. But you can also hire an agent to do this, then you don‘t have to go to the Imigrasi 3 times, but only 1 time, but it costs a little more. The VOA is valid for a single entry into Bali/Indonesia, for a stay of up to 30 days and can be extended to 60 days by a maximum of 1 time by 30 days at the local immigration office (Imigrasi).
Domestic travel – requirements
As of 07/17/2022
A booster will be required for domestic travel from July 17, 2022 if you want to avoid the stress of having to do a PCR (3 x 24 hours) or antigen test (1 x 24 hours) in advance. This applies to all domestic travel departing from the point of arrival.
Example: Anyone who has entered Bali and wants to go to Nusa Penida does not need a test, since Nusa Penida is still part of Bali. For the Gilis or Lombok etc. a test (antigen or PCR) would be necessary if you cannot show a third vaccination (booster).
So,
1) If you are fully vaccinated and can show at least one booster, you do not need any further tests for domestic travel.
2) Anyone who has been vaccinated twice but not boosted must have an antigen (1 x 24 hours) or a PCR test (3 x 24 hours) before departure.
3) Anyone who has only been vaccinated once and has been ill with Covid 19 for the last 30 days (present a medical certificate of complete recovery) or can show an exemption that they cannot be vaccinated for health reasons must definitely take a PCR test max. 3 x 24 hours before travel to be able to travel domestically.
4) All travelers must have the Peduli Lindungi app loaded on their mobile phone and be able to show the completed eHac (at the latest with the help of the airport staff upon arrival), this applies to all of the above points for domestic travel.
5) No vaccination certificate or test is required for children up to 6 years of age when traveling with a fully vaccinated person.
6) Children aged 6-17 years only need to show a double vaccination without a negative RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test.
